D.Boo - Solo Artist

D.Boo, born Dayna Strong, is originally from Fremont, NE. She has been singing all her life, and writing poetry since her early teens. Her influences growing up were mostly country and gospel. She found Etta James in college and has been in love with that jazzy style ever since. She began her songwriting career in Lincoln, NE at 18 years old. She moved to San Diego in 2010, and resettled in Las Vegas in 2012 where she currently resides. She had some success in local cover bands performing at the Hard Rock, Beauty Bar, and the Las Vegas Convention Center, among others. Hosting numerous charity events she is no stranger to the stage; she has traveled across the United States and Jamaica sharing her way with words, and gift of singing, while giving back to each community that she encounters.

D.Boo recorded her debut album "Confessions of a Gemini" at The Tone Factory recording studio, with the help of friend and producer, Hugo Castillo. The album was released to all major media outlets on May 23, 2017.  She is currently wrapping up her  "Free the Ego, Feed the Soul" tour and working on her next project. She will also be playing a roll in the upcoming tv series "Rising Divas" scheduled to begin production at the end of the year.

"'Confessions of a Gemini' came about, because the songs are all over the place with different sounds, feelings, and subjects. Each song was created in a different state of mind, with completely different influences, depending on the music scene I was in. I go with the flow and the crowd's vibe, I may be singing Jazz and Blues one night and rapping the next. Wanting to perform my originals more diversely led up to this, I think that rubbed off in my song writing over the years. I enjoy writing a ballad just as much as I do writing a fun pop song, I have something for every mood!" -D.Boo.
